Why the U?

When I first created this website, the “U” in my URL represented something entirely different – a last name I left in the past.

Over time, however, I realized it had taken on a much deeper meaning.

Everything I’ve built throughout my career shares one common purpose: Helping people understand.

Today, the “U” represents the principles that guide my work.

U is for Understanding

I help people understand complex software, technical concepts, processes, and emerging technologies.

U is for Users

Everything starts with the people using the solution, not the technology itself.

U is for Usability

Whether designing documentation, training, or software workflows, I strive to make information intuitive and easy to use.

U is for Uncomplicated

Complexity isn’t impressive, clarity is. My goal is to remove unnecessary friction.

U is for Unlocking Potential

The right training doesn’t just explain features, it helps people become more confident, capable, and productive.

U is for Useful

I don’t create documentation because documentation is required; I create resources people actually want to use.

U is for Universal

The same principles work whether I’m teaching Excel, AI, software platforms, JavaScript, or sewing. Different topics, same process.

U is for You

Ultimately, everything I design is created with one question in mind: “What does this person need to be successful?”

Ultimately: Helping people understand.
